I often hear people asking, “How do I push myself to do XYZ? How do I get in the mindset of getting things done? What do I need to do to change my life?”
My answer is always the same…
Just fucking do it.
Why do you keep waiting for the “right” moment to start pushing yourself? Instead of waiting, just go and put yourself intentionally in those uncomfortable situations that will force you to grow! The right moment is now. Trust me.
Sometimes, if you want to get things done, that’s exactly what you need, to pick your ass up and intentionally put yourself under pressure. The truth is, growth happens outside of your comfort zone, so if you want to reach your goals, you have to be willing to get uncomfortable.
When I decided I wanted to change my life, I didn’t just sit there waiting for things to come. I got up and put myself in the eye of a fucking hurricane to start doing something for my life.
I was lazy, I didn’t have goals, I was a complete fucking loser, and the only option I had was to be in a situation that would shake me to the core to wake up and save my ass!
I was so lost that the only thing that could save me was to do something crazy, so I did. I quit everything, packed my shit, burned the bridges, and never looked back.
A few years later, I couldn’t be more grateful for what I did. During the process, I got to fall in love with the pressure required to grow and be successful.
That was the only thing that helped me mature and become a man.
If you are still on the fence debating your next move, to start a business, to take care of your health, to move to another city, to start all over, stop doubting, and put yourself in the middle of a hurricane. Like I did. And so many other successful people before me.
In fact, that’s probably exactly what you need as well, to intentionally put yourself against the wall so you can wake up and change your life.
Don’t be afraid to pay the price.
It’s cheaper than the price for mediocrity, trust me.
