When change provides massive opportunity!

A Season of Change Is A Good Thing

Some significant change occurred in my life last week. It was a bit sooner than I expected.

This change could have quickly put me down two different paths.

Path One: Play the victim, the why me bullish!t and spiral out of control.

Or…

Path Two: Batten down the hatches because it's time to get to work and make shit happen!

Clearly, there's only one correct choice. So I chose the only option, which was to get to work.

This change has opened up a massive opportunity for me, and it also opens up the opportunity for others to work with me. More on that in a bit; keep reading.

The biggest misconception in my life right now is that people think I moved from New York to Texas so I could take a job at BFA.

That's simply not the case. My wife Jenn and I decided to move our family halfway across the country so that we could provide a better life for our amazing little humans. North Texas just happened to be the place we found and loved.

In June of 2020, before moving, I had already begun exiting my last company in the GPS Tracking space. Over that summer, I went to work on building out the structure and backend of my next company, Step It Up Academy.

Two days after moving into my new home in September 2020, I had my Texas LLC setup and was open for business. At this point, I had invested countless hours of my time and several thousand dollars into kickstarting this new venture called Step It Up Academy. Within days, I landed a few 1:1 coaching clients and was cruising along nicely.

I intended to build a business coaching and mastermind platform to help others succeed in business. About 30 days later, I got a call I wasn't expecting. You know, the kinda call that makes you halt and consider your options. The call came in from the BFA team, and I was asked to join them full-time. And I did! I put everything I had into BFA for nearly two years, and I have zero regrets.

I learned…

I helped…

I grew…

And I'm forever grateful for the lessons learned and the relationships built.

But, my time was up. Last week my time with BFA came to an end. And that's ok!

It's ok because I pivoted in less than 24 hours.

All of that setup work I did two summers ago was still in place and functional. I never shut down any websites, CRMs, credit card processing, or online learning platforms that I had in place.

The biggest lesson was that you must get your house in order. Once you get it in order, you need to maintain that order. I can't even begin to tell you how many times I almost pulled the plug on the software systems I had set up. Shit, who wouldn't want to pocket another seven hundred per month. Imagine how much longer it would have taken me to pivot if I had to start from scratch.

As of right now, I'm incredibly grateful to share my experiences with other business owners while helping them succeed with Interim COO services.

If you've been looking for an Integrator, reply to the email or click here to schedule a call. So let's have a conversation to see if it's a fit.

Small steps forward daily! 👊
